Giving Tuesday & Year-End Giving |
They Come to Us Hungry and Lonely Misty is one of many animals who came to us as thin, hungry strays. She was found wandering alone on the side of the road - hungry, sad, and unsure where to turn. When she arrived at our shelter, her eyes told the story of a dog who’d been on her own for far too long. With nutritious meals and gentle care, Misty is healing and learning to trust. But big dogs like Misty often stay with us longer, which means extra food, extra care, and extra cost. | Help Us Provide Hungry Pets With Nutritious Food for 2026 Whether they are strays, abandoned, or surrendered, all our shelter pets need nutritious food. A consistent diet of the same type of food, as well as love and care, is an essential part of helping them thrive and remain healthy and adoptable. Why is a consistent diet important?
Our Year-End Goal You can help us meet our Year-End Giving goal to raise $60,000 to purchase and provide the same type of food consistently to all of our animals and provide specialized, high-quality foods for the ones who need extra care. With more animals in the shelter on a consistent basis, food is one of our major costs. Our average monthly cost for food is $4,800 per month and almost $60,000 per year. Raising this amount would feed animals right now and ensure we can provide nutritious food for thousands more who will arrive at the shelter in 2026. |

Thank You for Your Kindness
As 2025 comes to an end, we want to thank you for your kindness and support. Your generous donations this year have helped us give abandoned dogs, cats and other animals a happy, healthy life. We operate Upland Animal Shelter on behalf of the City and rely on generous donors to help us fulfill our mission. Although the shelter is an open intake municipal shelter, we operate it as a rescue facility with a "save them all" philosophy.
So far this year we’ve provided thousands of animals with urgently needed medical care, nourishment, socialization, training, and a joyful opportunity to be adopted into a forever home. Your donations make all of this possible.
All of our animals need your help to thrive and find forever homes. If you are planning your year-end giving, please help us give every animal the best chance for a bright future.
Together we can save them all.
Giving is not just about making a donation, it is about making a difference.
