Friends of Upland Animal Shelter (Friends) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) public benefit charitable organization dedicated to helping every adoptable dog or cat at the Upland Animal Shelter find a loving home. Friends operates the Upland Animal Shelter in partnership with the City of Upland's four Animal Control Officers and is responsible for sheltering and finding homes for all animals that are available for adoption. Friends offers these services as a public benefit to the community and relies on the communty's support to continue its mission to care for Upland's abandoned and lost animals. Friends also operates 2nd Chance Thrift Shop to help defray the costs associated with providing essential services at the Upland Animal Shelter. Friends must seek monetary donations and donations of supplies to offset the cost of food, medicine, bedding, toys, and all other supplies related to animal care and shelter administration. The majority of costs for such supplies are provided by generous donors and supporters, not through government funding. We believe in the dignity of every life, and that every adoptable animal should receive the care and patience that is necessary to find a loving home. We offer a number of programs and initiatives to improve the lives of abandoned animals, reunite them with their owners, or find them new, forever homes, including:
With your help, we can give abandoned animals a second chance and expand the number of programs and services we offer to the community. Please join our mission by making a donation, or volunteering your time. |
