Let's get long-timer Barney a good home!

Barney is a sweet, strong boy who loves squeaky toys, fetch, and cuddle time. He enjoys walks, ear rubs, and would thrive with a big yard. He walks well on a harness and does best with older kids and a confident handler. Barney would prefer to be your one and only pet—he’s got plenty of love to give!

Every adoption package is an incredible value and includes spaying or neutering, vaccinations, microchip, free health exam, 30-day pet health insurance, 10% off at-home Good Pup training (for dogs), and a $10 gift certificate for 2nd Chance Thrift Shop.

Wouldn't it be wonderful to give every shelter animal a home this August?

That's the goal of Clear the Shelters 2025, a month-long nationwide pet adoption campaign, and Friends of Upland Animal Shelter is happy to be participating.

We invite you to take home a lovable furry friend or become a foster-to-adopt success with our special adoption incentives during the month of August.

Foster-to-Adopt Fee Waiver

When you choose to foster, you can get your adoption fees waived. Here's how it works:

Find a larger dog (30+ pounds) you'd like to adopt who's been in the shelter for 30+ days
Foster them for 2 to 3 weeks
Make sure they fit into your life
Fall in love? Make it official and get your adoption fees waived.

Adopt 2 Litter Mates

When you adopt two kittens from the same litter, you'll get reduced adoption fees:

1st Kitten: $125 Adoption Fee
2nd Kitten: $75 Adoption Fee
